The commencement of Phinh Sang secondary school
After one month of preparing materials and labors, on 10 May, the construction in Phinh Sang secondary school was officially started.
The workers finished digging holes and they are in progress in building the foundation of the boarding house. There are 20 labors working very hard in our project. The project is expected to be completed in 90 days. The period of the construction is also in the summer vacation for students. Therefore, after coming back to school this autumn, students here will have new boarding rooms, toilets, and kitchen as well. Phinh Sang project is the biggest project of VFE at present. We want to support the school and its underprivileged students by providing the following means:
– Refurbishing the existing boarding house
– Building 10 additional boarding rooms (accommodation for 300 boarders)
– Building new toilets and a new shower facility
– Building a new kitchen – Building a new guard house
We are working frequently with the head of Phinh Sang secondary school, the local education department and the contractor to ensure the quality and progress of our project.
